Towards Totality on 12 August 2026
Our 2026 total solar eclipse base is located in and around Aguilar de Campoo, right on the path of totality in Northern Spain, within the Burgos and Cantabria regions. Surrounded by lakes, rivers, mountains and plateaus with stunning vistas. We’ve already scouted several promising viewing spots, and if the weather plays tricks on us, we can move northwest towards Gijón or southeast towards Soria.
Our accommodation in Aguilar is already full, but we have found some new accomodations in the area.
We will keep our eyes and ears open and gladly pass on tips from our scouting trips and share tips: from practical places to stay to good viewing spots.
