More about Timi Trimmel
Roots and Vision
Timi Trimmel is a multilingual project and operations specialist, the coordinator and welcoming face of our eclipse journey. Originally from Hungary and now calling Tarifa home — with Málaga as her base — she has been living in Spain for several years.
With a professional background in hospitality, film production, event planning, and sustainable development, she brings both structure and heart to the tour.
Path and Purpose
Her path has been shaped by writing, community projects, and a lifelong love for the outdoors. She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that connect people with nature and each other, following the principles of slow travel and responsible tourism.
She believes that exploring the world can leave a positive trace — on people and the planet alike.
Journey into the Eclipse World
When Timi first heard from Marjan and René about the existence of eclipse chasers, she found it fascinating — and a little crazy, in the best possible way. She couldn’t quite imagine herself becoming one of them, at least not right away. But when Marjan and René invited her to the Eclipse Conference in Leuven, there was no turning back. The energy she experienced there was so unique and welcoming that she knew she couldn’t miss the chance to join them for future eclipses.
She started small — checking routes, scouting locations, ensuring access to local resources, good roads, and reliable Wi-Fi. Her strength lies in creating order without losing spontaneity. She can manage the logistics of a fifty-person eclipse trip — hotels, transport, permits — and still step aside to marvel at the quiet just before totality.
Guided by Mind and Soul
Drawn to the open landscapes of Southern Spain and the culture and climate of the North, Timi feels most at peace surrounded by nature — mountains, sea, and her loyal travel companion, a bull terrier who rarely misses an adventure.
She loves freedom, believes that mountains calm the mind and the ocean heals the soul. And the sky? That’s where mind and soul unite in wonder.
